About Me
Anna Borkowski, MA, RCC
Hi, I am a passionate mental health counsellor in British Columbia! I love working with youth, young adults and adults of all ages. I also work as a school counsellor for kids in elementary schools - and I love what I do.
I use a variety of therapeutic approaches in my work including internal family systems (IFS), play therapy, depth-oriented psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and various neurological/body-based therapies such as: EMDR and OEI. I tailor my approach based on the specific goals and strengths of the client, so that each person experiences therapy that is a good fit for them. All the therapy I do is evidence-based and focuses on de-pathologizing the person while also empowering them.

I have lived experience with anxiety and panic attacks, so I know what it is like to feel helpless and desperate for healing. I became a therapist because I found healing in psychotherapy and I wanted to be the source of hope for those who are experiencing inner turmoil.

In my free time I enjoy going on long walks with my dog, finding new Netflix shows to binge with my husband, and reading about holistic healing.
